Do you love shopping? I do. I will jump with excitement every time mom and dad told me that we’re going out for shopping.
I went to do car shopping some weeks ago.
Yeah, you heard me right. I went shopping for real big cars, not toy cars. I already have lots of toy cars so it’s time to get a real car.
Hah! Sounds like I’m a big teenager wanting for her own car. But, ehem… no.
I’m just 4 years old and I need a car to get me to school. Since I’m still too young to have my driving licence (too small to reach the pedal as well), someone needs to become my driver or no-salary-paid chauffeur.
Mom’s office has moved to Bangsar South – a place so far away from my home. She starts working at 7 am and need to leave home very early in the morning to avoid bad traffic jams and unnecessary stress.
However, my school also opens its door at 7 am. Meaning, there is no way mom could send me to school anymore. She left latest at 6.30am!
So, dad needs to take the job as my driver. This is where the problem arises. We only have ONE car! Mom is using the car to go to work.
Dad uses a motorcycle to go to work. At first, he intended to send me to school with that motorcycle. He even bought me cute pink full-faced helmet.
But, mom didn’t agree to that idea. Me? Riding the motorbike with my dad to my school?
Mom thinks it’s not safe as the school is about 3-4 KM from our house and the road is always congested with trailers, cars, buses and motorbikes.
I can never sit still on a motorbike for that 15 minutes journey. Plus, what if it’s rain with thunderstorms? I will be soaking wet. So, mom voted for no and I agreed.
So, dad have no choice but to buy me a new car. Oh yes! A new car for me! The car will be mainly used to send me to school. So, it’s my car.
That’s how I got to do some car shopping. I looked at a few cars.
There was this bright yellow Perodua MyVi Special Edition. I fall in love immediately. I love yellow!
I also looked at Hyundai and Kia. But, I’m not interested. The cars are too big and expensive. I don’t think we need a big car like that.
But dad was busy checking this Ford Focus Fiesta car. Mom doesn’t like the car even though it was sporty. I also don’t like this car mom. Same!
Then, I looked at Hyundai Sonata. Hmmm… not my taste. Too big and suitable for old man, not for a toddler.
How about Proton Exora? Naaah… too big for me. I need a small compact car only.
Perodua MyVi SE 1.5 would be the perfect car for me. So I (mmm.. my dad actually) bought my choice car!
However, dad picked Solid Ivory White instead of Yellow. Why? Mom loves the white one, so that’s why. Hmmm.. mommy power, I guess.
On the other note, dad failed to register the car with WWW plate number because he was one day late. WWX is also good dad. Cheer up.
Yeay! I got my own car at 4. You got meh?
